About the Department

A well-equipped center, team approach, and multidisciplinary treatment are essential for success in common brain diseases in the community. Brain, Spinal Cord and Nerve Surgery are developing rapidly with the innovations in medical technology and parallel to this, more successful results can be obtained in diagnosis and treatment.

There are endovascular interventional neuroradiology and surgical (microsurgical) working groups for the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases. Treatment methods can be applied separately or together according to the patient’s condition.

  • Cerebrovascular Aneurysms: Cerebrovascular disease in the form of bubbles in the blood, which can cause sudden deterioration with bleeding and vital losses.
  • Arterio-Venous Malformation :lArstrong> Arterio-venous veins in the brain in the form of a ball, is a blood vessel prone to bleeding.
  • Carotid Stenosis: Streetstrong> neck or brain in the neck of the narrowing and blockage of the parts. Clot formation and stroke (paralysis) occurs and treatment should be done within hours.
  • Brain Hemorrhage: It is the condition of blood leaking into brain membranes or brain tissue.
  • Cerebral Vascular Congestion: It is the sudden interruption of blood flow to the brain due to cerebral vascular occlusion. This condition is known as stroke or stroke and should be treated quickly. It may be possible to open the occluded vessel by endovascular methods, to restore brain blood supply by microsurgery or to relieve stuck brain tissue.
